A mod team of some sort

this is my 3rd post and I would like to say hello to everyone and suggest getting all the talent together and working on something together.

All though im shore there are people here or will be here or are somewhere out there that are capable of making a mod completely on there own and that is fine but most of the time I find myself coming up with Ideas only to be shot down by my own abilities and skill. for instance I am a 3D modeler all though I can make a nice model and texture it i find it a bit overwhelming having to stick it in the game, make shore it works right, that its in the right place and make shore it has the right bullet damage.

Then I have to package it for the end user, now to me that sounds like one hell of a task for one person especially for one person ( or me at least ) who frankly only knows how to do one of those tasks very well.

 

So to me it seems that picking a project, figuring out the best way to do it and releasing a great end result would be an awesome way to get the best mods out there.

 

 

Tell me what you guys think and if its a good Idea or not. :thanks:

Well I would love to get some new weapons in to the game, in my opinion there is little variety

 

Also Might be a bit to soon to mention this but maybe people cant start looking in to vehicle , I think ground vehicles are very possible

some type of flight device wold be very cool but I have no idea if that is even thinkable in FO3

 

Weapon wise, looks like some people have started making firearms, I will probably start making some type of Home made weapon, that looks like it has been made out of scrap parts.

maybe even some vehicle models, a dirt bike maybe or a jetpack, I dont like the motorcycles much that are in game they look a bit bulky and not worthy of the vast waist land offroads

maybe even a dune buggy.

 

everyone should just start throwing there own Ideas in and then we can have a look at what is possible, which I have no idea what is or is not, some one with a bit more modding XP will have to look in to it

Mod teams will eventually happen. It's just that right now most of the talented people are busy just going around trying to figure out how things work. Without an official CS, they are having to make changes manually by altering the data at those locatios. In a sense, FO modding is only as far as it is now because we have had Oblivion to compare record structure to. I would imagine that as soon as an official CS is released, people will start working on larger projects, but until it is released, much of what can be done with modding is rather limited.
