I've uploaded this to my personal webspace in case of any legal ambiguities. I did it for my own satisfaction but figured others might be interested.

Apocalypse FM

A music mod for Fallout 3

About

-----

We all know that Fallout 3 equals the following:

(Mad Max 2 - cars) + (Escape From New York - New York) + (28 Days Later + 199 years, 298 days) + chicks + giant guns

Awesome, in other words. To honour that, and with due respect to Inon Zur for his

amazing score, I've put together the "real" Fallout 3 soundtrack.

It bounces back and forth between punks-with-baseball-bats and more sober, thoughtful

fare, as I figured the combat deserved one while the exploration deserved the other.

Additionally, the rather pointless Enclave radio station has been commandeered by the

likes of John Carpenter and Brian May, for those who think they're man enough to be

Snake Plissken or the Duke of DC. No one is, of course, but at least you can pretend.

I've left the environmental radio stations intact.

Obviously, this is for people who really get the above, not who'd happily drop in any

old nu-metal track and turn the whole game into a "guns an' gobshites" FPS. I haven't

properly normalised the volume on every track yet, but the volume seems largely okay.

Installation

------------

1. BACKUP YOUR DATA FOLDER (common practice for any modding)

2. Copy the enclosed data folder and its contents into your Fallout 3 directory,

overwriting files when requested

3. Cut and paste the contents of the enclosed ArchiveInvalidation.txt into your

own. If you don't have that file (if you haven't done any prior modding),

just copy it across to your Fallout 3 root folder

4. Enjoy the end of the world!
