ngendk
Heya people. Been inspired by all the great work around here, I would like to give retexturing a go myself. Im a graphic artist in real life and I got some ideas I would love to implement. Problem is that I know nothing about how to extract textures so I can work with them in PSD and what-not. I tried downloading the DDS Converter 2 - but somewhere along the line I must have gotten a case of the stupid, because I dont know what to do next. Can anyone point me in the right direction and/or give me some links for some newbie tutorials? cheers.

Moraelin
Well, if I can be excused for shamelessly pimping my own tutorial, once you're past the stage of unpacking .dds files and all, here's how you put your texture on a unique gun (unique as in: everything else will still have the old looks) and give it to some vendor to sell: http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showto...mp;#entry629641

PxlBuzzard
Does anyone know the correct settings for Fallout 3 .dds-files in nVidia Plugin: DXT1 ?. with alpha? A11? ... Don't even think about using DX1 or DX3, always use DX5. DX5 gives you the best color quality you can find and it's the standard for all the textures.
