A note for future modding teams making a real life weapon mod project.

A note for any modding team, making a huge mod pack about real life moddable weapons.

There are many mods in the Nexus about modern guns, but barely any of them have reached the point of creating as many as there are in the real world.

I know it's impossible and hard doing it as a one man, but some people prefer adding all guns that have existed in the real world. Historic guns from the old centuries, to tactical, modifiable modern guns in the present time.

This is a very special note, especially for any secret modding team that will make such weapon pack. A mod that adds every gun in the world that existed, from Muskets, to Modern guns like ARs, SMGs, LMGs, MMGs, HMGs, Shotguns, Pistols, Sniper Rifles, and Rifles, all weapons of this type that will be added in the FNV game.

I know many people will say that this type of mod will barely be made and impossible, or anyone has interest, BUT there is a future, a time where this will be made into a full mod. A weapon mod consisting all Guns that have been made in the Real world to Fallout New Vegas.

Now, if my note turns into a WIP weapon pack, the guns wouldn't be modded using the mod menu but it would be used on the work bench, because when the project reaches the point of making guns that can be attached with extended mags, optics, laser pointers, flashlights, foregrips, or even underbarrel grenade launchers, it would be impossible to attach them all into a single gun using the mod menu since the mod menu only supports three mods per weapon.

The idea behind modding the guns is to cope FO4's weapon modding system, where you mod weapons on a bench. This, if you find the specific weapon mods e.g Holographic sights, you can attach it to a gun, e.g Heckler & Koch 416 to the workbench under the category "Attach mods to Modern Guns", with this, the HK416 would get a bonus with the new Holographic sights, or realistically, it would only benefit the users' aim for better aiming with the HK416.

Now for underbarrel GLs like an M203 GL for an M4A1, the way underbarrel GLs work is to find the script and function for one of the most impressive weapon mod packs, MrRadioactiv's weapon mod pack. His weapon pack had guns with working underbarrel GLs using a Hotkey. Idk how he did it but it was impressive. Now it would be the same for my mod idea, remember this is a note and idea, maybe a secret modding team would take my idea and make the weapon mod I'm talking 'bout?

For Flashlights take the RSA mod for e.g, their guns had toggable flashlights using a Hotkey.

For toggable laser pointers, the same goes for RSA Tactical weapon mod pack, using a Hotkey again.

While Bipods and Tripods are for MGs, they help increase accuracy for MGs when crouched, as they help stability and recoil. However I cannot think of any other weapon mod that does this kind of idea as they use Bipods and Tripods as "Aesthetics", still this would be functional for my mod idea.

Also, before getting your hands on modding your gun e.g G36K and attaching a Laser pointer, you need to first find the so called "Attachment Rails", these rails are the most important part of attaching weapon mods like Laser pointer, Flashlights, Optical Sights, Underbarrel GLs or Foregrips, Extended mags not included. Attachment rails should be common amongst lootable containers, or places with military loot boxes. There would also be a hand-made attachment rail, using Scrap Metal, Wonderglue, and Duct Tape for making it if there is no more attachment rail to loot, however for aesthetics, the hand made attachment rail would look ugly.

There can also be paints and decals to make your gun your own, about millions of designs, but only designs like Camos, Decals, Paintjobs, and stylistic aesthetic designs like Skulls, colorful lines, etc.

We are also forgetting Bayonets, but since FNV barely has enough script to make Bayonets useful, a bash mod for hitting enemies by swinging your gun at them would be enough.

Also, guns would be scratch made, based on their Real life looks, as realistically looking like in their Real life form.

Weapon sounds as well, how about recording the real life sounds of every modern gun? Not just using Vanilla weapon sounds as they aren't good enough. Since there are barely any old guns existing today e.g MG42, M1928 Thompson, M1919A6 LMG, MP40, or any other old guns, the modding team would find their sounds on the web or they would find it too for the modern guns.

After all the explanation about how my weapon pack would be in the future and how it would work, all that remains is that the mod will still be possible to made, doubtedly any modding team will take it and make it. I hope this idea has made any modding team impressed, I just hope they would make it real.

Plus there would be a shyte ton amount of Guns, because there are Variations, Alterations, and named Guns with their attached mod, like optics, flashlights etc.

Alterations and would add up to many guns, mostly the M4 Carbine. An M4A1, where the A means Alteration, which is an improved M4 Carbine. An AK-74, with the Variant AK-74M, which M means "Modernized" which makes the old AK-74 remove its' wooden material and replace it with Carbon fiber and black metal like how other Guns use, mostly Carbines.

If a gun e.g UMP45 is given an attachment rail, there you will have the UMP45 in your inventory named "UMP-45 Attachment rail" which the "Attachment rail" will be renamed if you add a weapon mod e.g ACOG sight with the UMP-45 Attachment rail. Now you have the "UMP-45 ACOG", which means you have an ACOG sight for your UMP-45.

An extended magazine to an already modified gun e.g M4A1 Red Dot, the M4A1 Red Dot will be renamed to "M4A1 Red Dot, 45 round magazine" because that is how my weapon idea would be. I know weapon names are long but "M4A1 Red Dot, 45 round magazine, Foregrip" would still make sense as this mod idea of mine is all about Guns and modifiable guns. Simply you can give them a + to a modded gun but I prefer with the names of attachments to determine what mods are attached to it.

Simply, to remove an attachment to a gun e.g Barret REC-7 Flashlight, you will need to remove it manually in the workbench. Under the category "Remove attachments from guns" there you will now get "REC-7 Attachment Rail" which has only attachment rails on the gun. If you need to remove the Attachment Rail on your gun, it would be removed under the workbench category "Attachment Rail removal" there you will get "REC-7" after that.

I will hope anyone will use my idea and make it true. Doubtedly anyone will, but I pray that someone or a modding team will make my idea come true!
