NikitaTheStag
I'm currently trying to update an existing mod to make it more to my liking just for personal use.I moved some doors and furniature around that had scripts attached to them, but in-game they remained in their original positions. Items I moved that didn't have any scripts attached had no problem.Thinking I saved it wrong, I started a new game and checked again and they were exactly where I wanted them. That tells me there has to be a cache or something holding the doors and stuff in their old postitions despite my changes.I already tried the 'resetinterior' command, as well as the 'pcb' command, and while it does reset the cell, they still wouldn't move the problematic doors and furniature. Is there a way to force the game to load the cell as though it was the first time I'd been there? (I've also tried uninstalling, then saving, then re-installing but that just broke the scripts)
maxarturo
Skyrim "Save files" keep instances of the objects in their 3d space, so reseting cells or any other reset won't work, the issue is caused by the save file. What might work if you want to keep using an existing "Save file" and not start a new game is to: uninstall > make a Clean Save > Reinstall > make a New Save, keep your Clean Save for a pre installation back up. I was worried that was the case.I had tried using a clean save and re-installing but unfortunately for some reason upon re-installation it removes diologue options on an npc that is related to the scripted items that had previously been working. the only thing I can think of is loading a waaay older save from before the mod and doing the same process, but I would lose a lot of hours in that :/
