RoboticRooster
I just started modding skyrim today and I have run into an issue that I cant find any info about. In the creation kit, I tried something that should have been pretty simple, swapping a weapon skin for another. However when I try to do this, I find that the folder that should be holding the weapon meshes is simply missing. Im running windows 7 64 bit, and so my filepath should look something like C://Programfiles (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/data/meshes/weapons...etcBut the weapons folder is missing. In fact quite a few folders are missing. Right now the only folders i have are actorsarmorclothes I cant find it navigating through the creation kit, and I cant find it in windows explorer either. I also checked to make sure it was not hidden, which it was not. Doing a search through windows explorer did not yield any results either. My game however is running perfectly fine, which means the meshes have to be somewhere. I've reinstalled, restarted, etc. no dice. Does anyone know what could be the problem or encountered this issue themselves?
OakRain
The meshes and textures you are looking for are locked away inside BSA files within your installation. To get to them you require a BSA un packer.Have a read of this wiki page - it should provide the information you need;Skyrim BSA Extraction
