New Mod idea True Dual Survivor

That would allow you to play as both your own Mate and Nora. Both mods contain follower dialogue for the characters and they both have dialogue for the actual game. You would just need to make a way to switch between these two roles while in the game.

 

It would be great to have them with separate special and perks but it's all the same if they don't. I am not even entirely sure if this is possible but I thought it would be great since I am always torn between which character I want to play as.

 

Both these mods are awesome and I tagged the original mods with a link to this post in their discussions page. Any ideas would be awesome. I can do the leg work if someone can give me suggestions. I am pretty low level when it comes to this but am a quick learner.

 

By the way, I am playing with the HD texture pack and the brand new f4se if that means anything. Figured f4se would play in to scripting or an MCM (which hasn't yet been updated).

I had actually thoght of the same thing back when I was stuck with the XB1 version. The biggest obstacle I can think of involves whatever gender-specific data is loaded into the game upon exiting creation, mostly dialogue I'd assume. I remember seeing XB1 mods that would swap player gender once per install, so if you could get a look at whatever scripts that uses, and make a script that swaps the player model between the two characters while simultaneously using that gender swapping, it's doesn't seem impossible.

 

I'd have to do a ton of research on writing scripts to help you any further, but I imagine you could get something like that to work with a transition to black while the game loads everything, and Script Extender wouls probably need to be involved, but like I said, I'm novice at anything besides installing mods, and the only mod I've ever created was a custom race for New Vegas so I could use a face scar with custom hair.

 

Speaking of, maybe you could try to find a way to write a script that saves both characters as a custom race or preset on the fly, so the game could just load that as you swap.
