Falkner1992
And I don't mean enhancements or changes to existing factions, I mean mods that introduce NEW factions with new NPCs, quests, the whole nine yards. I have seen a couple (and by that I mean precisely TWO) of mods that sort of do this, add new factions with NPCs and all that, one was about the Blackwood Company the other was about the White-Thorn Lodge, basically the Imperial version of the CIA in Skyrim. Only problem is those mods gave me nothing to do, no quests, not one! I was so excited when I read the description for the White-Thorn Lodge mod, I figured I'd be performing secret missions for the Empire, only to realise when I started playing there was nothing to do, I was dissapointed. Do you know of any good new faction mods out there that aren't just tech-demos and actually give me stuff to do?
JanusForbeare
It's still a little early for new factions with completed questlines. Even for Oblivion, such mods are few and far between. Might be a year or two (or more) before we see something along the lines of The Lost Spires.

Good faction mods are almost impossible to come by, you could count the ones for Oblivion with your fingers on one hand. I'm not even asking for something as epic as the Lost Spires, just a simple faction mod with a base, a few NPCs, some quests and a solid hierarchical structure (dropping the faction ranks from previous ES games was one of Bethesda's biggest mistakes with Skyrim imo). By the way, I know I'm going off-topic here, but could you help with a little something? I took a look at your companion mod and I noticed you managed to add scars to his face, can you tell me how to do that? Add scars to the NPC faces I mean, because I can't see that option in the Creation Kit.
JanusForbeare
Scars are "HeadParts", and can be found in the HeadParts subsection of the Character section of the Object Window. Find the one you want, then click and drag it into the "Additional Head Parts" list (bottom right hand corner) of the "Character Gen Parts" tab in the window that comes up if you double-click on your actor. Man, I hope that made sense. Sounds much more complicated than it really is, when I read it back. :) As for your request, the only "new" faction I can think of is Vigilant of Stendarr Quests. I haven't tried it (because I think the Vigilant are bunch of fanatics), but it's got 81 endorsements, so it looks decent. EDIT: A screen cap, to help you assign scars... http://atvir.webs.com/Scars.jpg Edited October 31, 2012 by JanusForbeare
DreamKingMods
Do you know of any good new faction mods out there that aren't just tech-demos and actually give me stuff to do? Hunting in Skyrim is being actively developed; there are already a few basic quests, and more are coming soon. There are a at least two other very promising new faction mods I know of in development, but yeah, they take time.

Hunting in Skyrim looks pretty cool, actually. Never noticed that mod before. Downloading! Thanks for the tip, DK. @Falkner1992: Glad to help!
