HDR with AA. Resurecting an old topic

A while back we had a discussion about using HDR with AA (nVidia cards).

I have found that the NVidia control panel does not work automatically.

You have to open control panel and make sure your Oblivion setup is

in the title bar then AA will work with HDR. I had previously thought that

the settings would work even with another game in the title bar.

For those of you who were not here for the discussion.

Set AA in control panel to override application, and set level of

AA you wish to use. Set HDR with the in game settings.

While you can also use the nHancer program I have found that

control panel works well enough with the above method.

 

EDIT: It may be that I have set up nVidia control panel to not start with windows

so I have to activate it from the task bar. Anyhow, if I activate before starting

the game AA always works with HDR on.
