looking in the bugs report section for the mod, all i could find as a hint to fix my problem was to delete aap.bundle, which i did. Now at this point his hair has appeared, but thats it, just his hair and swords/crossbow are visible. this is as far as ive been able to get since the creator of the mod seems to be inactive and theres no one else that had my same problem and got help. not sure what else to do anymore, at this point witcher 3 is still unplayable and i was just about to go to the Isle of Mists :/

i had this problem a while back, i don't remember exactly what i did to solve it, but i remember deleting stuff from the "content" folder but i'm not sure if it was the content0, content1,content2 or the patch0 and patch1, then i ran the "verify/fix" option on GoG and the folders i deleted were replaced by new uncorrupted ones the game runs fine since

hope this helps if you haven't already found a solution

did you just delete the mod folder (if so, you 'broke' the game, but it's easy to fix)

or did you use the Geralt Doppler Installer (the same bat/exe program that installed it on your game) to uninstall the same way you originally installed

if you uninstalled it with the bat installer you can type in console:

setcustomhead('head_1')

save your game, reload; should be fixed

If that still doesn't work, make sure to check your user.settings and input.settings files for any left over codes. Search for GD and GeraltDoppler, and just delete any line with those in it (there will be around 300 to 500 of them if you were using the sandbox; closer to 50 or so if you used the presets... every item, head, hair, boots, etc you used will be listed in here, and you'll have to delete them all, one line at a time, making sure not to delete your other non-Doppler settings

Check too in your bin for the Geralt Doppler's xml and ini files; (one is titled 'hidden' while the rest all have 'Geralt Doppler' in the title so are easy to find); those all need to be deleted as well.

....................

Keep in mind that the Geralt Doppler Installer installs files ALL THROUGHOUT YOUR COMPUTER, many, many, many, many more files and folders then just the modGeraltDoppler folder in you mod list; so if you 'manually' removed it by just deleting the modGeraltDoppler folder from your mod list, you've still got several dozen more files to uninstall, including in the bin, in your user.settings, in your ini, in your documents, in your input.settings, ect.

If you know where they all are you can continue to manually delete each file, but a lot of them, you can't just delete, you have to go into the file and fully rewrite the scripts to remove the scripts the Doppler added and revert back in the old scripts the Doppler deleted. The process can take several hours at best. This is why you both install and uninstall with the bat installer.

....................

If you just deleted the modGeraltDoppler folder and did not use the bat installer; try using the bat installer to re-install the mod again; then use the bat installer to uninstall it and that should fix it; if not, then try the head-reset method above and checking the files listed, and it should fix it

IMPORTANT!!! IF NONE OF THAT WORKS, YOUR GAME MAY HAVE SUFFERED A CORRUPTED SAVE FILE!!!

Remember too, that The Geralt Doppler is a very old-style mod created back in the early days of Witcher 3 modding and that it was originally made for Witcher 1, not Witcher 3, so it has so seriously save file corrupting issues; considered a "save file leech mod" meaning there's a 90%+ chance that uninstalling it will corrupt your save files and you'll need to restart the game new upon removing it. Never, never, never, NEVER use the Geralt Doppler if you've not got your game autosaving every 10 minutes or less.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT USE THE GERALT DOPPLER UNLESS YOUR GAME IS SET TO AUTOSAVE EVERY 3 MINUTES!!!!!!! AND make a manual save AT LEAST EVERY HOUR.... IN A NEW SAVE SLOT.... DO NOT OVER WRITE YOUR OLD SAVE! So, if you play the gave for 4 hours today, and 3 hours yesterday, you should have 7 separate, individual save files now. Yes, this creates tens of thousands of save files on your computer, but it's the ONLY way you can guarantee continuing to play the game without starting a new game.

If you only have 1 save file and kept saving on top of it, then, you are sunk and the only thing you can do is restart the game from the very beginning, completely losing all of your 50 hours + progress it took you to get to Isle of Mists. I have had this happen before, so I know how frustrating it is. If there is one thing the Geralt Doppler has taught me, it is how to be a spastic saver.

In order to play the game from your current playthrough, after uninstalling the Geralt Doppler IF IT HAS CORRUPTED YOUR SAVE FILE you need to keep reloading your autosaves... load the most recent 10 minutes back... if that doesn't work, go 10 minutes before it (20 minutes back)... if that doesn't work go to the next one (30 minutes back) and so on, until you finally reach an uncorrupted autosave file that let's you load up the game as Geralt.

I've used the Geralt Doppler in 11 Completionist runs now, and am the mod maker who has been making the unofficial bug fixes and updates for it after it's original creator abandoned it several years ago; I've been working on it for 2 years now but unfortunately I've not yet found a way to fix it's save file corrupting bug  The 3 - 10 minute autosave is the only work around I've found for what is arguably the worst of the Geralt Doppler many bugs
