Voice adding to dialogue

allright, found out what the problem is, the sound doesn't even play when i hit the play button in GECK when i'm creating the soundfile

 

Where are you recording the sounds and what button are you pushing to play

 

as i need to place effects on the voice i use audacity with killerring und normalizer effect, then i extract it as WAV und place it under Data/Sounds/voice/Ricwattsworth.esm/Wattsworthvoice/

Keep in mind the Wav has to be set to Mono, 16-bit PCM, 44100hz

How are you trying to play the voice in the geck?

by clicking audio-> Sound-> new -> WattsworthFired -> adding the sound file to the new file created und then i press play, but nothing happens

OK this is your issue. The voice for dialog is not set though the SOUND it is done in the dialog in the quests.

1) Select your topic.

2)Select the Info (Response)(double click)

3) Record your voice and generate the Lip file.

 

After you record the voice then you can edit in audacity.

 

The sounds in the SOUNDS tab have to be saved in DATA/SOUND/FX folder thats why then are not playing

No problem, Let me know if it worked.

worked like a charm, now i only need to figurte out why m=y companion keeps huggin me in combat instead of fighting

 

Hugging you? ok you lost me here, Can you give some more information/ Video

 

 

he either walks towards me und keeps close to me in combat, not firing his lasers, let stand fight in melee wich he mostly does, or he just stands about, he also doesn't heal himself after combat

Sorry it took so long for me to respond...I have been working on this mod.

 

Did you add him the the player faction

 

NPCREF.AddToFaction PlayerFaction 1

 

By default they dont heal themself after combat unless you have them set to essential.. otherwise you have to script it.
