[LE] Is there any way to make a membrane shader with no illumination?

I'm playing around with spell creation, but I can't figure out how to make it so a membrane shader doesn't illuminate the player. It looks perfect in the day time, but at night the player is list up by the shader, which looks terrible for the effect I'm trying to create. I've not got a particle shader, just a membrane, and I even checked the box that says inverted, but it still lights up in the night. Any thoughts?

Did you uncheck "lighting" - it is on the left side just below the fill texture.

Coincidently, I am working on some alpha issues (like the effects not being applied when the char moves.....) so I have been poking around in the effects recently.

If I find anything useful for your issue, I will make an update....but the effects are a bit new to me...

I was poking around with the options, and checking "lighting" interestingly inverts the issue. The problem I'm facing is that it looks great during the day, but at night it's slight glow makes the character look very unnatural. When the lighting box is checked, it inverts this, so the character glows at day, but is super, super dark during night.
