EveningSun
hey, I'm having the same problem. Originally had the game files on my secondary internal HD, but I copied them over to program files/... and I'm still having issues.I also made a plugins.txt with the ESP names in it and still no dice. It's in Is it 'cause I wrote up the plugins.txt incorrectly? C:\Users\myusername\Documents\My Games\Fallout3 (I run on 32-bit Vista) The file looks like this: CrossRepairWeapons.espVATS - MCE.esp Do I leave out the extension? Do I write in a path on top? Guest
Well it took some doing but here is what i did... In \user\username\appdata\local\fallout3\plugins.txt (\AppData is a hidden folder.) Edit that txt file and add the .esp file names u are using. Example Fallout3.esm1-Day-Respawn.espAmplifiedCrippledEffects020.espCrossRepairArmor.espdD-Larger Blood.espgalogen.espSlower Degradation (-80%).espxrepair-weapons-5-full.esp Close the file saving your changes. (WARNING... if u dont understand fully how to edit and change files then DONT TRY IT.) Now comes the part that stumpped me for about 3 hours. If u go to your launcher and click data files it will not show any of your plugins. It will in fact change the .txt file u just edited to the original file adding a text saying u shouldnt edit this file. So in short DONT use the launcher to add the .exp files. Always do it manually and do not check to see if their there. This worked on my system (64 Vista) with the problem of not seeing the plugins. I have no idea why this works or how just that it does. Fascinating,When i launch my game and tick the esps the mods are automatically entered into my plugins.txt file. I wonder if it's because i have uac turned off.I run Vista 32.I think Vista is a little OVER protective lol.Anyway it's a simple file, here's a screen of mine. http://i451.photobucket.com/albums/qq239/gantw50/Image2.jpg

The plugin.txt is in a hidden folder in:username/AppData/local/Fallout 3/plugins In Vista to view hidden files open any folder click 'organize' then click 'folder and search options',in 'folder options' click 'view' tab then tick 'show hidden files and folders'.
