numberland
Hello all. This is probably a silly question but I'm really quite stuck. I want to be able to do two things: Be able to select existing meshes when creating e.g. a tree in Creation Kit. I'm having a lot of difficulty with this - I click to add a mesh but it goes to a file selector with much files not visible so I cannot select the existing file by this method. Relatedly I would like to import and export files for further editing - I have BSAopt installed and NifSkope but can't work out how to pick files to be imported into NifSkope for editing - BSAopt just seems to copy all files to a different directory which doesn't seem helpful with either of these problems. Advice would be appreciated, this is just not be obvious to me and it is getting frustrating.
steve40
You have to extract the meshes and textures from the bsa archives and then put the files that you need into your Skyrim data sub folders, then you can select them with the CK. I usually just use BSAOpt to extract the files I want into a temp folder, then manually copy them into the data subfolders. In Nifskope, you just open the nif file directly (after extracting it from the bsa archive and putting it into your data subfolder).
