Gara23
Hey everyone. I'm pretty new to making my own mods in Skyrim but i'm learning a lot so far. Having spent quite a while making a section for my "player house" i was disappointed to find there are no secret doors for the Dwemer dungeons. I guess my questions are: How hard is it to make one? and how would i go about it ? ..... or is there another way around it by somehow having a switch that swaps one common object for another ? Example: DweRmSmWall01 being switched to DweRmSmHole01 to simulate the appearance of a secret passage ? Any help would be greatly appreciated Regards, Chris
ChampionOfHircine
You could do it that way. Make a lever or some kind of activator and attach a script to it to disable one piece and enable the other. I would recommend putting the activator in a place where you can't see the door though because it'll probably look funny, one piece disappearing and another appearing in it's place. That's how I'd recommend doing it if you don't already know how to make a 3d model. Trust me, it takes a long time to learn. Gara23
Yes i can imagine how much time would need to be spent learning the skills. Thanks for you reply :) I'll have a look around for a tutorial on activators and scripts and keep the door at my back (had already thought of that). Thanks again
