rvtmendoza
I tried looking at psu that is ok with my budget and I found a antec vp450. will this be good enough to handle the system? Will the advantage of using asus hd7650 worth the extra cash? or is there only a small difference Edited November 3, 2012 by rvtmendoza
Erik005
Do you mean the hd7950? The powersupply will run a system with the 7850 but not with the 7950 or any other cards that require more than 1 6-pin connection.
rvtmendoza
I mean the advantage of asus hd 7850 over the powercolor
kalikka
Asus DCII is has a little better cooler than Powercolor PCS+. Thats it.Keep in mind that the cooler defines the card, good cooler will keep the card Cool&Silent even with high overclocks. 7850 PCS+ review. FMod
7850 honestly needs very little cooling, go with what's cheaper unless the difference is small. Also, only Asus DCII is good. The regular model is same as stock with higher price.
Erik005
Alternatives for the asus card are the gigabyte twin fan model, or the sapphire model. http://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/zardon/sapphire-hd7850-overclock-edition-review/ The sapphire card seems very good.
