omier44 Posted November 2, 2012 Share Posted November 2, 2012 Hi. I have done moddelling for another game and thought I should try and get one of my weapons into Skyrim. I used the following tutorial:http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16985. Only I didn't use C4D and MudBox because the mesh and diffuse were already created. The normal map I created in Photoshop with the DDS plugin. I did everything needed in NifScope, but my weapon shows up black ingame.Before that I also tried to get an armor from another game into Skyrim. I used the following tutorial:http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Creating_an_armour_for_Skyrim._Part_1#Skyrim_armour.2Fclothing_meshes. I used two different Blenders. Because I don't like modelling in 2.49, I refit the armor to the Skyrim male body in 2.63 and then took the objects to 2.49 for weight copying and exporting. The NifScope part did look a little different for me, some of the stuff in the Block List was different and some in the Block Details (I don't know if it's a different version or something). But I replicated the settings as closely as I could, but my armor is invisible ingame, along with the parts of the male body that would otherwise be visible with the armor worn.Could you point me in the right direction as to what can cause these problems ingame? Wasbunny Posted November 2, 2012 Share Posted November 2, 2012 (edited) Make sure 'has vertex colors' is set to yes for everything in Nifskope and make sure the 'dismemberment' body part type number is correct and consistent with what you have in CK.
