AGhostdogg10
Logan switched back the radio's channel and spoke into it saying "Gonna have call you back dad. Stay on the line though. If I don't contact you in fifteen minutes... well try not to think about that." Before his father could respond he switched the channel again, but this time to Daniels frequency. With that finished he retook his aim and began firing at the Walkers. Three of them dropped and several more staggered back.Lucy looked out the window, trying to see Daniel in the gun store, or at the very least see what's going on inside. Macman253
Daniel hurriedly began to slide guns and ammo boxes into a duffle bag, he stopped for a moment when he heard a low growl. He turned around as fast as lightning and drew back an arrow, his dark eyes fixing on the Walker he loosed an arrow that struck the Walker clean in the eye. As the body dropped, they began to pour into the gun store from the back. He drew and loosed two more, then he grabbed the full dufflebag and kicked open the door. "Lets go!" He yelled to his companion still in the store as he threw the duffle bag onto the bus.
Flipout6
Curtis dashed quickly into the store, grabbing as many .556, 9mm and shotgun rounds as he could carry, eventually coming up with another 4 clips for Euryale, about a hundred .556 rounds, and 40-ish for Daniel's shotgun. Unfortunately he didn't find much in the way of arrows, with the end result being only around 2 of them if he combined all the spare parts. The Walkers had caught his attention a minute ago and he turned to address that specific threat. He raised Excalibat (who was getting excited.) and brought it down onto a walker's head as he ran outside, cackling. "Come on! Many bad guys, lots of walkers, too much to handle!" He cracked one on the head with Excalibat, and killed it. Carrying through with his momentum, he spun around and hit another one in the face with the nailed baseball bat grasped in one hand. The walker collapsed, dead instantly. Waiting until everybody was safe on the bus, Curtis charged at walkers individually, smart enough not to run right into a group lest he be torn to bloody pieces. Even with his experience and caution, however, Curtis was not invincible. He came up in front of a pair of walkers and killed one of them, brought Excalibat around and killed the other, but was caught off guard by a group of three behind the group there. As the second walker fell, one of them lunged at Curtis, who panicked and kicked it back with a yelp before being tackled by the other one. He just barely managed to avoid having his throat torn out, and struggled to keep it off of him. He swung it around to the pavement and slammed in its head with Rodney, then tried to stand up and was brought down once again from behind. He used the momentum to roll over the walker's head and stand to his feet, not feeling any bites. He stomped its head in and retreated. Realizing the Walkers were coming in groups too large to safely take out at close range, Curtis pulled up beside the bus and drew Euryale, ensuring it had a clip in it before aiming carefully and executing another walker. SirFaps408
As Daniel ran he heard a loud snap and felt a twig-like object break underneath his boot. Still running Daniel looked over his shoulder for a second to investigate what he had stepped on. It was a rotting human leg, that of a child's. Suddenly he came to a halt as his body made a thud sound, he had hit a tree. His body laid on the dirt gushing blood from his head, his senses were blurred and could hear something that might have been important on the radio but wasn't sure what he was hearing. While on the ground a walkers staggered towards him. Daniel looks at it still confused and immobile. As the walker extends its only arm a gunshot was fired, the walker fell to the earth just inches away from him. A figure of a person was the last thing he saw as he went unconscious thinking, "is that my friend? or an enemy?"
Sanzoid
((This looks like it might be dead, but... why not.)) Erin sat cradled in the crook of a large crabapple tree, her long, spindly legs dangling off either side of the branch. She tossed one of the tree's fruits between her hands, too unripe to eat, and listened to the ruckus occurring barely twenty yards away. She had been following Staff Sergeant Logan Howlett for two days, and was pleased when she overheard the radio transmission that prompted them to move to the school. She was starting to feel restless, and although she was mildly concerned that two of her targets were young children, their death, like hers, was inevitable. Someone may as well be there to profit from it. "Let's go!" a yell came, from what sounded like the man with the bow, and Erin heeded. She swung one leg over the branch and fell deftly to the ground, sinking into a crouch, and kept low as she padded between the trees and back onto the street. She took cover behind a dilapidated minivan with a bumper sticker that shouted, "TAKE IT EASY - LIFE IS SHORT!" She exhaled forcefully through her nostrils in amusement then kept moving, weaving between the various debris and abandoned vehicles that littered most roads now. As she crept by a red pickup, she caught a glance of herself in the over-sized side view mirror. She was filthier than she thought. The gray bandana wrapped across her mouth like a surgical mask was browned with dust and beginning to fray. Her dark eyes peering over the cloth were sunken and crusted with dirt, as were the short tangled dreads of auburn hair that fell to the lobes of her ears in waves. She looked like s***, and for a moment this sparked something inside her, some sort of old superficial yearning to look pretty. Then she remembered where she was, and that she had never been a pretty girl in the first place. She cursed herself and moved on. She could see the bus that the newly acquainted comrades had chosen for their escape and sighed inwardly. A poor choice for stealth, but she had followed them this far. She knew she was breaking her own rules (stay in cover, don't track groups of more than three) but they intrigued her, especially the unstable man with his - what was it? - Excalibat. She would have to remember to pluck that from him when the time came. Just as the thought crossed her mind, not for the first time, she saw him burst through the door of the gun store swinging said weapon and cackling. "Come on! Many bad guys, lots of walkers, too much to handle!" he cried, whacking another Walker over the head. There was a sickening crack and the thing crumpled. More Walkers swarmed on him, and Erin perked up, awaiting the warbling shrieks of the dying that had become her signal to approach. Unfortunately, he was too strong, and took out each monstrosity with crazed but methodical precision. When he drew his firearm, she recognized the true danger of the situation and sprinted silently to the back of the school bus. She lifted herself gently onto the bumper and gripped the handle of the emergency door with one hand, the other fumbling with her belt. She unwound the three-foot-long spool of double-braided nylon rope and threaded one end through the door handle, then tied a knot, creating a loop, which she pushed her hand through and twisted once around her knuckles. She adjusted her necklace made of the dried, stinking intestines of a Walker before resting her hand on the hilt of her steel tactical tomahawk. Then she waited.
