DrPepper715
Hi everyone, I was wondering how to get an npc to Salute to me when I end the dialogue with them (saying goodbye) . An example of this is when i go up to an npc and talk to him; when i say goodbye, he uses the salute animation and salutes to me and says "bye". What do I do to get him to do that when I end the conversation/dialogue? I have looked around with the Geck and i have found two things. The First is going to AI Packages and (The NPC is using the Guard package) than clicking on the tab Begin/End/Change. I find below the On Begin, On End, On Change sections Idle: and Topic. I entered on all Idle:LooseSalute and on Topic: GREETING and than there is result script with is empty, and its the same on the rest but On End and On Change has the same idle, but for the Topic they are both GOODBYE. Than the second thing I have found is "Idles" in the package thing for the NPC and below idle I put in LooseSalute and ticked Random and Do once and where it says Idle Timer Setting i put 0.0009. Otherwise that is it. I am new with the Idle/animation thing but i do understand the basics of the GECK (making Npc's, texture sets, etc.) but I am still unclear with the scripts part. and sorry for any inconvenience with my grammar, its been sh*it lately. Anyway PLEASE RESPOND!THANKS! PS:I can also find a way to upload a photo of what i am taking about if you don't quite understand still what I'm saying.
