Phast
hey, I just started using mods for FO3. I'm a huge fan of all the work being done on Nexus over Oblivion, so i thought I'd try some of the fallout 3 stuff. Unfortunately, I don't really understand how the ArchiveInvalidation.txt works. So far, i've read the previous few posts about it but it never really answered my question. As of now, i set bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 in the fallout.ini. I copied the texture and mesh folders into the data folder. I ran ArchiveInvalidation validator in full scan to point it at the data folder, made a new ArchiveInvalidation.txt and copy pasted the directories into it. However the new textures still don't show up. Should I start a new game? ArchiveInvalidation.txt is supposed to be in the fallout 3 folder right? Or is it supposed to be somewhere else? Thanks a lot in advance.
genovauk
Don't know if it's just certain mods but bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 is the only thing I have needed so far the ArchiveInvalidation.txt doesn't seem to be needed at least not up to now and iv'e tried out quite a few texture mods on here...
