Perhaps it could work well for a dungeon crawler where each participant takes a cell and ends with the teleportmarker to the next empty cell for the next guy. For larger scale mods, a lot of the issues already pointed out would crop up really quickly.

 

I Imagine if I had enough time, and enough preparation, it could work out pretty well. No matter the scale. It's just a matter of handling it all properly.
