Daimond007
The exe file calls home and pulls the info from there, you have to stop it from do this. I use Zome alarm, I go into program control and look for the exe and tell it to deny access to internet. though exver time you change that file you may have to load game and then log back out and tell it to deny again. I dont have to re do this unless I mofify exe.there is another way posted around here that mods some files, but I dont know what that does to other things so I left it alone. BanjoOz
I tried changing the small items from 1 to 2 and it's not working. You can edit your hosts file to stop the game (ridiculously) dialing home to Firaxis to prevent mods working. There's a few topics here to search for that tell you what to edit it to (and how, if you've never done it before). I'm almost certain that's the issue here, as changing item slots was the first thing I modded in the game! :)
leejonnymr
It doesn't have access to the internet. I blocked it with my firewall.
FMod
You need to edit the exe file itself, not the ini.Find [XComGame.XGTacticalGameCore], extract until BlasterBombSpeed=500.0fSave as .txt, edit, patch with Modpatcher.

FonzieD
I did not understand that last post at all. :( basically, editing the .INI text file itself won't actually make any changes. you have to open the .EXE file and edit values there.
