Crashing when I try to save

So this all started right with the update.. wondering if anybody has a fix for it yet. From what I've read through the steam/Nexus forums, it seems I'm not the only one having saving issues, so I apologize if this is a duplicate post.

 

Every time I go to save the game, it crashes completely. No issues with loading, or anything else as far as I can tell, just saving.

 

Specs:

Windows 8

Processor: Intel Core i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.4 GHz

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M

Drivers are up to date

 

Reverting back to 1.7 isn't an option, since I had never backed up the files.. anything else I can do? Thanks in advance.

No mods, no DLC

 

 

Update:

Figured out, so far, it seems location related. It was only happening in Nightcaller Temple.. went back to an earlier save and so far so good. It's during the quest, right after you drink the torper and go through the dream state thing.
