Wylyth1992
This mod would add new locations, including a new section of the Soul Cairn to explore (and unlike the Soul Cairn area from Dawnguard, this area of it is "outside" and thus has fast travel points). Your goal in the questline will be simple: find a way to stop the Ideal Masters' from taking more souls, or, baring that, "killing" the consciousness souls of those they hold, have held, and will hold. Of course, the actual content in the questline would be more extensive then what I describe. There would also be many other side quests, including one where you have to prevent a Necromancer Coven in a new dungeon called "Whiterun Undercroft" (accessed from a secret passage in Whiterun's Catacombs) from completing a ritual that would kill and soul trap all the citizens of Whiterun Hold in Black Soul Gems. There would be other features as well, including some returning characters from Oblivion, including Hannibal Traven, penultimate Arch Mage of the Mage's Guild, of which you will find out more of his backstory and why he has such a hatred of Necromancy. My plans for this mod idea was it to be relatively small in scope, mostly so it could be small enough to not take a lot of space for Xbox One users. Anselmp
The Soul Cairn is one of the most boring sections in the whole of Skyrim. There is enough in Whiterun already. There are too many necromancers already. We want character-driven stories not desiccated nightmares. TwiztidEwokV2
Good point borderlines with the hatred of necromancy in elder scrolls 4. Have the door hidden in Whiterun like when you first discovered that hidden entrance with the werewolves. I can see it being lore friendly if you built that way. And this story would be very character driven. Also, the Whiterun Undercroft is not technically "in" Whiterun, its a different interior cell.
