BakerOne
Hello guys,I just bought the Dawnguard DLC and downloaded it, as soon as I try to lunch the game it crashes in the screen with the Skyrim Icon,(where you can choose to continue the game or start a new one) as soon I see the icon it crashes.I have Nexus mod manager installed, is it maybe because I downloaded mods before I installed Dawnguard?I deinstalled all the mods, game does still not run, as soon as I start Skyrim without Dawnguard it works....Please help I have no clue what I shall do :( ... steve40
Try editing your Skyrim.ini file (in C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Skyrim) and add "Dawnguard.bsa" to the [Archive] section at the end of the list called "sResourceArchiveList" like this example: [Archive]sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, HighResTexturePack01.bsa, HighResTexturePack02.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa, Dawnguard.bsasResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Voices.bsa, Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa Otherwise, have you tried starting a new game with Dawnguard? If possible revert to skyrim version 1.7.7, and try it again. So far Patch 1.8 doesn't like dawnguard.

Staind716
I know some people have had trouble with CTD's when they enable Dawnguard mods before the Dawnguard quest is actually started. Silly I know but it IS Bethesda.
