Any suggestions on what I could have done wrong?Which bat file caused it? The kill or the resurrect? If it was the kill script, try running the resurrect script without selecting anything. (Use the script while not at the scrapyard.) If the resurrect script is run without a target, it will only perform one of its two functions; resetting the Dogmeat quest. You can then return to the scrapyard to (theoretically) find Dogmeat, though you may want to wait a few days gametime before returning in case Dogmeat got lost and needs to walk to the scrapyard. If that doesn't work, my guess is that somehow Dogmeat got disabled. If that's so, try this batch file:(Extract to "Fallout3\", not "Fallout3\Data\", just like the last file.) Type "bat createdogmeat" to run the batch script. A new Dogmeat will appear next to you, talk to him and he'll join up with you again. Word of warning though, this is generally a last resort script. This actually creates a new Dogmeat and resets the quest, so if the original is still out there, you'll have a clone and the game might not like it. Alternatively, you can use the batch file multiple times in a row and create a squad of Dogmeats like in Kaze and I did. It's glitchy though, I don't suggest it. (If any Dogmeat died, the whole pack would probably get confused. Damn doggy-hivemind.) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
jaysus Posted November 21, 2008 Share Posted November 21, 2008 dogmeat goes to vault 101s entrance btw not the scrapyard where you find him...also if leaving DM behind sets "hasfollowers to 0" just like killing him maybe one could recruit em all anyway without cheating... EDIT:Not finding anything suggesting it does. I can't even find the dialog option to send Dogmeat back to Vault 101 in the ESM, not sure why. But that means I can't check its script to know for sure.
