SonicBoyster
I poked around the board and all I've found are people asking for modifications that allow you to continue playing after the game ends. My request would be far more ambitious, and require a fair deal of writing as well as voice acting. The real question is whether or not we believe it would be possible. Would it be possible to actually add an ending onto Fallout 3 in a similar style or format to the preexisting Ron Pearlman game ending? Surely there must be some way to work this out if we really dug into it. I can't imagine how it would or how to work it out; I dabble in writing and design, not coding. Truth is I was ready to put Fallout 3 on my short list of greatest games when I came across the 25 second ending and felt the heart crushed inside of me. There absolutely must be some kind of a way of adding endings into this game, whether they are consistent endings that happen every time you beat the game, or conditional endings that trigger based on dialogue responses or whether specific NPCs are alive or dead. I figure a couple of serious fans who want to take the time to work out the writing and hammer out some voice acting could get us half way there but how in the hell would it actually get hammered into the game? Is it possible? Any theories? Ideally I'd want to see a situation where we were somehow able to set up triggers on various NPCs and towns that would turn on or off certain combinations of ending slides like it was handled in Fallout 1 and 2 but I'd be willing to settle for generic catch-all good guy or bad guy endings that add anything of value to the game's conclusion. An ending worthy of the franchise is worthy of my time and attention and I'd gladly volunteer my time to designing the endings or working out the dialogues. Tell me we could make it work. Tell me we can add replayability to this wasteland.
