Silverarm
Hello everyone! This is not a request as per se, more of throwing the idea out at the community in case anyone might be willing to actually do it.What I like about New Vegas is the amount of rifles and shotgun selections, giving it a Wild West feel to it, and its surprising that I haven't seen any mods that add some obscured type of weapons. We got pump-action shotguns in the form of the Vanilla Hunting shotgun and the various mods released on the nexus, but I never seen a pump-action rifle like the Colt Lightning(I have little to no experience or exposure to this type of rifles),and I would feel that adding this kind of rifle will make the selection of Western weapons more complete.http://www.ubertireplicas.com/1884pumpaction.phpAlso, another weapon that I just found out about is the bolt-action shotgun, as shown below.http://www.armusa.com/MossbergShotGuns3.htmI hope this will perk up some interest but nobody is obliged to make any of this if they do no want.Thank you for listening to my poorly constructed rant. charwo
If you can supply the meshes and animation files, I can out it together for you. I am not able to do meshes at this point. It may not be the answer you want but we might be able to wing it premilimary by just using the hunting shotgun mesh for the pump rifle and possibly the hunting rifle for the bolt action shotgun, although in the latter it would be a placeover. I would look at the ammo types and guestimate the performance in game based on Project Nevada rebalances. If you have mod meshes, I can put them on too. It would be hilarious to have a scope for the bolt action shotgun, just a thought if you can get a mesher to do the actual models. Interested? I am not really a model maker and animator, and I doubt I can offer any kind of skillsets in this regard, as I am still new to modding NV/3.But thank you for the interest, hopefully somebody much more capable than me would be interested in this.=
JonarusDrakus
The weapons you suggested are the tip of the iceberg of 'characterful' weapons that were left out of the game... The other 'big' category of weapons I'd love to see included were the 'revolving rifle/carbine' weapons such as: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colt_revolving_rifle - There were small caliber (4-10) revolving shotguns that could be also covered... The Colt 1855 that I linked to would be the obvious choice, but I can see two weapons actually... One 'standard' variant using .357, and a single 'unique' weapon upgraded to .44. Both would be six-shot 'carbine' length weapons. Both would also have access to the same 4 'mods' - A scope (mid-range, like the one for the varmint rifle, but without the night-vision), an "HD" cylinder (boosting max durability, and adding a cosmetic decoration upgrade), a lengthened barrel (reducing spread). and a 'custom' firing mechanisms (to increase rate of fire). Obviously only 2/3 of these would be usable, but I like the idea of giving 'extra' mod options to allow the player to mod the weapon in accordance with their play style rather than forcing a single 'best version' on them... ~JD
