goetosyrus Posted November 5, 2012 Share Posted November 5, 2012 So I set my locks on my door and gate to need " Courier's Key " to open, I've created the " Courier's Key " but when I try to use it, it says I need a key. goetosyrus Posted November 5, 2012 Author Share Posted November 5, 2012 That would be the problem then. I've never attempted to make a mod before, thus far everything is going well. I assumed since I had copied and renamed a key and was able to find it in the submenu for the door keys it would work. goetosyrus Posted November 7, 2012 Author Share Posted November 7, 2012 Lol Yes I have the key, I'm technologically impaired not flat out stupid. I think the gentleman with the script response had the right idea, haven't looked into it further yet as I've been tinkering with companion x trying to make my mirelurk companion. I can get one as a simple follower by myself but can't figure out how to do it with that system. The only thing i can say about the key is make sure you make the key in the ITEM/KEY section of the object box and make sure the lock is set to use the object ID of the key made and make sure the player has the key in there INV. As far as things not showing up in game. Make sure you have the .ESP set as active when you load it into the Geck and save before testing. Also might try a clean save.
