Steam did something now I CTD after the Bethesda Logo

First off, I've seen 'fixes' for this before, but all of them are based on having a problem with a mod. YESTERDAY I spent ALL DAY fixing and testing and cleaning my mods, I launched skyrim probably 20 times in total after fixing them all (tweaking a lighting mod) and I had an average time of about 15 seconds between hitting the launch button and playing my game. I had a really random CTD issue I couldn't track down, but it was only happening in game, and seemed to be based around the companions quest-line. Issues like this are usually ESM based, and I KNOW all my ESMs are in the right place and the right order.

Alright, this morning when I turned my computer own steam INSTANTLY started downloading something for skyrim, I kept trying to launch skyrim and it said "This is open in another program" I tried to stop steam from doing what it was doing, but then I kept getting an error "this is not a proper .exe file', so I replaced the SKSE launched and tried again, and it launched skyrim to a black screen, and then locked up and never did anything,

 

So finally hours later steam finished downloading whatever, I replaced the 'TESV.exe' with the steam launched again, now Skyrim CTDs after the Bethesda logo every single time.

 

My game was working perfectly fine before, now it won't work at all. I really, really, really hate steam, and the fact that I have no choice but to use it to be aloud to play my copy of skyrim I PAYED for is really really starting to make me hate Bethesda, since EVERY DAY it does something stupid and makes it impossible for me to play my game. I have to force it into offline mode just to be allowed to play period, because it just says 'preparing to launch skyrim' forever. I've literally let it sit there for 3+ HOURS waiting for it to pull it up, no luck, the only way it works is to disable Steams ability to connect to the internet. I don't even know how it reconnected to the internet in the first place.

 

Needless to say, I'm sick of Steam already, and now I'm ready to find their customer support number at start cursing people out. Every single day it's doing something different to make it impossible to play the games I payed for, when I never wanted or asked for steam in the first place, and was basically blackmailed into getting it or not being allowed to play the game I payed good money for. It would be easier and less of a pain in the ass to illegally pirate games then to legally buy and use them with steam. It's like they are TRYING to get people to resort to that kind of bulls***.

 

Anyways, does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I have no idea what it did to skyrim, why it did, or why it's doing this, it never said it was updating, or repairing anything it just said 'downloading 3 files for skyrim', and refused to give me any information, and refused to let me play skyrim. I waited patiently for hours for it to finish, and still can't play Skyrim. Yesterday I spent FOREVER getting my mods to play nice planning on FINALLY getting to play all day today after finding through glitches and crashes for the past week, but NO.

 

And lastly, does anyone know how to strip steams privileges without it locking down my ability to still launch games through it? Some of my games like Bioshock and L4D2 can only be launched through steam, so I don't want to make it impossible to use them, but for some reason it seems to be allowed to edit and replace and delete my files without asking permission, and even WINDOWS has to ask my permission before doing that on this computer, it's very frustrating that Steam has found a way to allow itself to totally bypass my UAC.

 

EDIT: I still get the CTD if I try to launch with the normal skyrim launched and not SKSE

lol, wow, apparently the problem was I just needed to install the new version of SKSE, since apparently what steam DID was update to the new version of skyrim. It's been out since the day I installed the Skyrim, and it just randomly decided today was the day to install it? It couldn't just say 'updating skyrim' either.
