davidlheppner
Since I got my new computer I havn't installed Morrowind yet and up till recently I wasn't really very aware of the modding community so I'd love suggestions on what the best mods would be to put in with it. I also have both expansions since its the game of the year edition.
Landsknecht
Oh boy, that's a difficult question to answer, mainly due to its length. A good place to start looking for Morrowind mods is Planet Elder Scrolls (TESNexus has a better selection of Oblivion mods though). Wells some of the many mods (I will leave out fixes and graphic based mods) that I like that I currently have running (besides the official mods, which I also recommend) are: Necessities of Morrowind (conflict with the Entertainer's official mod, I believe someone has made another mod to fix the conflict)Juniper's Twin Lamps (Any Twin Lamps mod which receives high ratings will do)Any mod from the LGNPC teamDracondros VoiceVampire Realism IIMorrowind Cities UnlockedMorrowind Bandits UnlockedBalmora WaterfallHouses and Apartments by ashwormBetter Cursed Items (only tweak I'll recommend)Great Shoalsany high rated mod which adds a smith to Seyda NeenWayfarer's Restany high rated mod which adds centurion archers to the enemies lists in dwemer ruinsMorrowind Comes AliveThe NeverhallsBob's Armory 2any high rated mod which makes wild life less aggressive (at least to the point of not having rats suicidally charge a 40th level character) That should be a good list to start with, I kept some mods generic since there are multiple mods which are good which do about the same thing; I recommend you look for those types which modify the game to your specific preferences. Palpenious
I actually recently got Morrowind and went searching for mods. Things I look for tend to be small graphical changes, but when in-game, makes the experience more immersive. Here are some of the good ones I found. (mostly from Planet Elder Scrolls, but some are probably on TESNexus) -Better Heads-Better Bodies (self explanatory)-Book Jackets, one of the first mods I got on Oblivion, something about the books having words on the cover, and pictures it's great-Delay Assassins, for new characters which you don't want immediately involved in the Tribunal expansion (turn esp off if you are ready to start, or just strong enough to fend off DB attacks) With these character mods, everyone looks better that the Vanilla Oblivion NPCs do, it's pretty shocking the difference. also a few mods which add more clutter, and slightly raise prices for junk-type stuff you find. It helps in the beginning. Possibly considered a cheat, but, playing Oblivion I'm used to regaining magicka, so I also got fair magicka regen. It's not overly powered, I think depending on your Intelligence it does 1-5 mana a second.
Balakirev
Oh, dear. The Eternal Question. ;) It helps if you refine it down to what sort of things you want--utilities, quests, better graphics, etc. However, rather than offer you my opinions, check out this site. It is a wonderful meta-list of Morrowind recommendation sites and mod important materials. Pay particular attention to Telesphoros' list, even though it hasn't been updated in a year and a half. He has an excellent selection of mods with links, and a paragraph of explanation devoted to each. If the links deadend, try searching here at TES Nexus. Nearly everything he lists is still available. herosinger
You can also try searching with Yacoby's handy tool: http://search.yacoby.net/ For graphic enhancements, allow me to recommend Connary's textures:http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View...ng&id=29044
Crisb92
For graphical replacers, search for Darknut's mods. He has done some great work for Morrowind. He also replaces the Dagoth Ur Dungeon, making it much more fun at the end. Here they are.http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View...g&id=119915 I also use a landscape/ objects replacer. But can't remember the name. I'll try to find it for you. Edit:Landscape Remix. In my opinion, the best of the texture replacers. My mod list:Better HeadsBetter BodiesLGNPC modsPassive Healthy WildlifeSiege at FiremothRing Texture FixAtmospheric Sound EffectsMagicka Regen (Regenerates Magic without resting, like Oblivion)Voice Addons (Vivec, Dagoth Ur, etc.)Mixed Signposts (Daedric and English font)Sir Luthor's ToolsMoon's SoulgemsImproved Cursed ItemsWindows GlowSlof's Better BeastsMarksman EnhancedHerbalism For PuristsBetter ClothesOriental Weapons PackImproved No GlowDark Brotherhood Armour Replacer and Delayed Attack I don't go for many quest mods, I just prefer better looking stuff, as you can see. Alaisiagae
Since I got my new computer I havn't installed Morrowind yet and up till recently I wasn't really very aware of the modding community so I'd love suggestions on what the best mods would be to put in with it. I also have both expansions since its the game of the year edition. If you want to stay on top of the most recent developments, I suggest monitoring the official forums. Things you won't find on TESNexus and maybe even PES: Yacoby's ES Search. Searches for MW mods across the major (and some minor) download sites. The Unofficial Unofficial Morrowind Patch. Takes care of everything the old UMP did, plus adds fixes that obsoletes many of the mod-fixes floating about. The Morrowind Code Patch. Fixes hard-coded bugs that have been, up to this point, untouchable. ENB Series. Graphics improver. Tricky to get running, so you better read the installation instruction carefully. Morrowind Graphics Extender. Absolutely beautiful, will bump up the general graphics level (water, distant land) to Oblivion level.

Guest
Some good mods already mentioned. Passive healthy wildlife is a must for me. If you're into adding a mod that gives you a lot of quests, powerful items and weapons, + your own house and lots more, I highly recommend Suran Underworld. katklaw
That is my current list of mods. {not in order}been playing them for the last year hope it helps. Also connorys texture mods are great Also you might want to add MWSE {morrowind script extender}, MGE {morrowind graphics extender } mwfps {frames per second and shadows comtroller, also a music controller}. All these work together, but can work alone as well. I also just add my own music, I have 4 sorts Classical, LOTR, Heavy metal or house depending on my mood.
