Deleted1308005User
Hi! This is becoming annoying habit by me.. Asking simply questions that is. Anyway, Is there faction which is non-hostile to everything? In other words if creature is assigned to this faction nothing would attack it. I failed at my attempt to make "Sea Ghost" follower, so I started to work on "passive pets" So they are summoned when you equip certain item, follow around and watch you go.But never attack anyone. Think of it as a bit like "minipet" from Guild wars series. Also, is there way to remove old topics I've made? As I 'd like to clean up nexus a bit by removing my old topics which never caught attention. Edit: Oops. Looks like I only needed to change couple of options from different tab.. KingsGambit
Out of curisoty, why did your attempt at making a "Sea Ghost" fail? Would be glad to advise on that, though there are plenty of tutorials about. Followers are reasonably straightforward, though the passive pets idea is a good one. I miss the Pet Shop from Oblivion...I believe it was just outside Cheydinhal. IIRC I used to have a "chew toy" that would summon my pet :-) I don't know of any faction that is neutral/allied to everyone else. The whole faction system is to establish relationships between groups of friends and foes. I can think of two suggestions. First, make the faction yourself. You don't really need to add everyone, just the main ones. eg. Draugr, the 9 holds, giant, beasts and set them all to neutral.Second and I believe more effective is to edit the creature themselves. For one thing there is a lot less "overhead", for another there will be no chance of mod conflicts. On the NPC page, you can set relationships and AI Data. AI Package will likely also be useful. You can set them to be "unaggressive", help no one, attack no one, etc and use (or create) an AI package that has them expressly following the player and no other behaviours. Tick Invulnerable, Doesn't Affect Stealth Meter and Doesn't Bleed. I believe this is the better option than playing with factions which can get quite messy and may not be entirely reliable. Have a play and post back how you get on. Also, voting for mini-giant pet please, because the oxymoron makes me smile.
Deleted1308005User
Well, apparently those "Sea Ghosts" Aren't NPC's.they seem to be movable static items.Which seems really weird.I am not that good with CK, and even less good with creatures.BUT I have absolutely no skill with static items!Anyway, I did a quick test, added couple of those to certain location, I wanted to see if those would start acting properly. (bouncing around like they normally do)But they didn't, they just stayed where I put them and didn't move at all. (Except on went in straight line about 6-10 meters ahead and then stopped)I guess they need some sort of triggers to control them? like Navmesh or something. Anyway, you can find the light ball by searching "FXfollow", FXFollowmote is the light ball aka. Sea ghost, but there's huge chance I missed something important.I hope this helps someone who's interested in Sea-ghosts. Anyway, I guess I'll try to edit the data and add these "minipets" to some most important factions. If I succeed in this I guess this will end up as a mod.(At least I want pet following me around everywhere)
KingsGambit
I found just now an AI Package that may suit your pet NPCs. Under Character -> Packages are DefaultFollowPlayer and DefaultFollowPlayerRun. They are probably all you need, along with tweaking the AI Data. As long as there's no ally or friend relationship with the player (help no one), and the pet is set to unaggressive and invulnerable I believe they will behave as cosmetic pets. Immune to all damage, uninvolved in combat and the only behaviour is following the player.
