Mod Cleaning Question

Hey -

When I run BOSS it tells me I have a mod with dirty edits. I run through the cleaning process but when finished I can close TES5Edit without getting a dialog box . Ctrl + s do not bring up the save option as it has with previous cleans I've done on other mods. When I run BOSS again it says there are still dirty edits on this mod. ?

-Thanks

Look in the MESSAGES section and see it it changed any files. If id did not remove anything then it will not give the option to save.

Yay apply filter for cleaning, let that run, then right click on the mod again and ask to remove indentical to masters. You'll then get the "are you sure...." thing, on clicking yes you will then get the option to save.

Hmmm....yes, I've applied filter for cleaning and then removed the identical to masters. However I do not get an option to save after hitting yes. It tells me it has completed then I hit undelete and disable references. It tells me it has completed in messages but hitting ctrl + s does not bring up option to save as it does with other mods I've cleaned. I close it out and BOSS informs me it is still a dirty edit.

A new question for today, I have another mod with dirty edits but upon going through the cleaning process and hitting 'undelete and disable' it informs me, ' Warning: Plugin contains 9 NavMeshes which cannot be undeleted.' - So...er...what do I do there?

And thank you very much for the replies. I often know just enough to really screw things up. Heh. :wallbash:

Closing TES5Edit using the red X button should be enough to initiate the save procedure - you should get a pop-up with a single mod file checked - hit the OK button and it should save.

For the time being TES5Edit can do nothing with the Navmesh records - it is just warning to you that they exist. That information may be of use further down the line to identify possible mod conflicts (if a mod references one of the deleted records for example).

Hey-

Just bumping this because...er...well, I still don't have a clue and would like to learn what's up with this stuff. Still cant get those two particular mods cleaned. Any help 'tis appreciated.

-Thanks

After removing identical to masters check the messages. It will tell you how many were removed. If it says 0 removed then there is no reason for it to save so it will NOT give you the option
