StayFrosty05 Posted November 7, 2012 Share Posted November 7, 2012 I play a Nord who uses no magic what-so-ever, I am already using a mod that removes his beginner spells but the 'magicka bar' is still quite the immersion breaker for me, as I would like him to have no magic ability at all.....Does anyone know if it is possible for someone to completely remove the Magicka Bar and Magicka altogether from their character? KingsGambit Posted November 8, 2012 Share Posted November 8, 2012 I don't know off hand where in the CK you might look though I can't imagine it's too hard to simply change a setting that permanently hides that magicka bar. There are a couple of mods you might consider too. Less Intrusive HUDImmersive HUD Search for HUD under the User Interface category on the Nexus for more potential ideas. These won't remove the bar, but will simply never display it. Out of curiosity, have you tried using the console in game with something along the lines of "player.setav magicka 0" or "player.modav magicka x" (where x is however much your character has)? It could be setting 0 magicka is enough for the bar to never appear. My understanding is that it only appears when equipped with a spell or while magicka is draining or regenerating. With 0 magicka it will never drain or regenerate so may be a simple, one-off solution that is worth trying. You can also use player.removespell to remove any currently known spells/racial abilities you don't want. I don't think it's possible, or if it is, very easy to remove the ability to use magic. You may have to be disciplined and avoid spell books. If your spell book is empty however you can never cast a spell, and you don't use staves, you should be able to remain true to your Nord roots of hitting things with metal objects. There's also a mod you may be interested in, though I can't remember the name, that provides an alternate start where you aren't a dragonborn and don't learn any shouts. StayFrosty05 Posted November 8, 2012 Author Share Posted November 8, 2012 (edited) Thank You KingsGambit.... :happy: ....I hadn't actually looked at the HUD Mods due to the fact that the only thing I want gone is the Magika Bar....though by the looks of it the HUD mods still display it if it's being effected, only smaller....that's my understanding of it, I could very well be wrong.... :blush: No, I haven't tried the 'player.setav....etc....It didn't even cross my mind though I am not shy of using the console to set his height or give him simple items....I should have thought of it.... :blush: ....Thank you for the reminder... :happy: ...I will try that as soon as I go back in game. He doesn't use magic at all...has no starter spells and never opens a Spell Book and never uses Staves....I am very disciplined in that matter.... :happy: ....He never uses Enchanted Armor or Enchanted Weapons either....The only time it becomes apparent that he has magic is if someones draining it (the vanilla base 100) and due to a couple of Mods I have, that quite often happens to him.... :( ....Shock weapons being used against my character often (his a Werewolf and a Mod I use adds Werewolf Hunters, they use enchanted shock weapons in their attack)....Plus Shock Dragons and Shock Mages....my poor Dovahkin cops it a lot and I have noted it does the greatest and fastest damage to him.... o_O ....Though I am well aware the draining of his magika provides him with a small protection buffer before he starts losing health....it is very immersion breaking when the Magika does display as I RP him as having no magic what so ever....thus why I want it gone altogether and hopefully being able to remove any magika he has completely also. Yes, I know the alternate start mods, there's two of them now if I recall correctly....I am more than happy with him using the Shouts though, as their not quite magic.....Plus the way I play him, I think he may really need those Shouts to survive... o_O .... :tongue: ....due to my play style....no followers (though does use a ring summonable Sabre Cat when desperate) primary Archer/Alchemist in Light Armor (plus stealth, smithing and swordsmanship backup)....his being primarily an Archer tends to leave his Armor Protection and Swordsmanship behind on the leveling and thus quite exposed to taking damage.....I think I will keep the Shouts.... :biggrin: Thank you again KingsGambit.... :happy: Edited November 8, 2012 by StayFrosty05 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I assumed as a nord he would be wearing heavy metal armours and wield large weapons. Archery? What, is a he an ELF? He's a nord who loves elves? He wants to be an elf?
