Unofficial patch breaking "Compelling tribute"?

So, after starting the stormcloak quest Compelling tribute, fast travelling to Markarth always CTDs. First I thought it was one of my other mods, but after a lot of tinkering around, deactivating USP (and ONLY USP!) solves the problem. I have the newest Skyrim patch. newest SKSE and newest USP. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and does anyone know how to fix it (other than not using the unofficial patch, which I would like to keep because of the bug fixes!)?

Mods ordered with BOSS, so it shouldn't be a load order problem...
