EnclaveOfHumanity
Hello, Every time i try to install a mod with a outside installer like this flashlight or the animation pack for weapons of the new millennia or even mcm it ends up like this: https://gyazo.com/4cee5549524509a99f508a93fd8402e3 an tiny itty bitty screen where i can't even read everything or even expand it to a readible size making me be able to only press one button and it doesn't install right anyways. Would love to be able to expand it and be able to see. Also it says my MCM is outdated but i can't update it since this happens to my mcm as well. any help is appreciated since this is my first time a forum. dubiousintent
You need to be a lot more precise about which mods are giving you problems. With links to them we can see for ourselves how the author explains the install process, how the files are packaged, and possibly interpret what you mean. There are more than one mod that fit your descriptions. Details matter. Don't assume we recognize any of thousands of mods by a vague reference. (There is a reason why we have a "How to ask for help" article. Don't feel bad about this. Just explaining.) By "outside installer" I presume you are referring to a mod that is packaged as an "executable" file (with an "exe" extension)? Such should not be installed from within your usual mod manager. Instead install them manually. Your mod manager documentation should have instructions on how to do this so the file winds up where it wants them. Otherwise let them install where they want and then manually move ("drag") the folder contents to the correct location. Some mods (notably "Project Nevada") packaged a version of MCM with them. You need to install the "standalone" update afterwards and make an edit documented in the wiki "HUD-UI-Menu issues" article. -Dubious-
