MrHavok360
So, due to an unrelated issue, I broke down and let Windows Update DL/install several system updates.. (to get my front sound panel working) and now, I cannot run/install any mods. I get: "Error steam not found, failsave mode" - (misspelled?) and the mod fails to work. (Warspace, and/or Psi Mod) though, the game still works fine. I noticed it when I went to temp activate Psi Mod, then go back to Warspace, as they won't both work at once.. Now, before the (Windows) update, I successfully modded these back and forth, it never mentioned looking for "steam" and obviously I have been playing in "Non-Steam Mode" or whatever you would like to call it.. So, can one of you modders please tell me what it is looking for, or rather where it would be, so that I may fix this, and have my mods back? I am assuming that Win Update moved some registry path around or something? I have un/reinstalled the game, but no change.. and I didn't make a restore point before doing the Win Update.. (I could've swore it said it was automatically) - I had a similar issue once upon a time with "The Sims 3" where I had to delete several registry keys before re-installing, but they were provided by a Sims modder, I wouldn't know where to look.. Registry Keys look like Greek to me. Anyway, Thank you in Adv. for the assist..
dreadylein
check the steam regestry keys if this is too much trouble, just reinstalling steam should solve the problem
