Hey, as the title suggests.. this is a Mod idea I have come up with recently.

Not for somebody else to create however, I would like to in-corporate this feature into my WIP mod 'Additional Scrap Cars'

Details:

Basically I want to COPY the Zetan random event that happens - where the spacecraft crashes from the sky into the commonwealth (only for you in turn to discover a Zetan in a cave near the landing site).

 

First of all - This is a copy & will NOT replace the zetan random event, it will be an addition.

I want to change out the Zetan space craft for a severely modded "one-off" of my new cars. and mimic the orignal crash path etc (Companions will still comment on the phenomenon) - then change the crash site accordingly.

Then nearby I will have a crazy scientist and his kid companion - After meeting this scientist you quickly realise that something is a miss, He is from the future! With a mad & eccentric explanation as to why they came back to 2287.

There will then be a small number of quests that follow to help the scientist achieve his goal and then fix the craft - to which he then returns back to the future! He will reward you with some special homemade futuristic 1-off weapon because in 3453 - Governments and industry have returned, ever yet more so corrupt than before.

Im capable of creating any models involved, just not the scripting.

What do you think?? Any suggestions?

I'd endorse.

If you're a DW fan I've always wanted a somewhat similar mod for the classic Fallout encounter Unusual Call Box

This could be simpler, crashing and dematerialising shortly after you arrive to investigate, or it's at any random encounter spot without crashing and it leaves shortly after you are in proximity.

I agree. the DW random encounter just like what was seen in the early Fallout games would be simpler and cool in its own right - however I couldnt rightly include this into 'Additional Scrap Cars' or have it as a bolt on extra as the content is not related to the mod.

 

I am hoping a sufficient scripting modder can take one glance at this request and tell me if its possible or not - and what may be involed.
