DonReba
Good day. I am the developer of the Smart Mod Manager for the STALKER game series. I enjoyed Fallout 3 and wondered if it would be useful to add support for it to SMM. So, I would like to hear what others think about it. :) Like any mod manager, SMM configures games to use mods automatically and allows installation and activation of mods in any order. In addition, it can detect and resolve conflicts between mods. It makes it easy to create snapshots of mods together with game saves and settings to restore them later on. SMM does not require any special support from mods, but additional information can be added to mods to display a preview, a readme, etc. http://www.smart-mod-manager.org/ http://smart-mod-manager.org/screenshots/small/normal.jpeg http://smart-mod-manager.org/screenshots/small/patch.jpeghttp://smart-mod-manager.org/screenshots/small/advanced.jpeg http://smart-mod-manager.org/screenshots/small/snapshots.jpeg
kapro
I've never heard of your app before, but it looks awesome. Fallout 3 support would be great!
vash1985
i have used SMM before. i hate to tell you though, Timeslip beat you to the punch with Oblivion Mod manager, which he has already converted to be used with Fo3.
DonReba
Being first is very valuable — no doubt about it, but does it outweight everything SMM has to offer?
vash1985
hes still working in getting it integrated with fallout 3, but in short, it will boast features similar to the oblivion mod manager:http://timeslip.chorrol.com/obmm.html nothing wrong with competition i guess. but his mod manager is renown around this neck of the woods. it would be a hard sell
Circuitous
I'd give your manager a try, definitely. OBMM was good but I had my qualms with it. Also, since you're in the business of managing mods, would you mind giving this thread a look (if you haven't already)?

I'm fine with anarchy or whichever system you decide on. The mod manager takes a loosely structured mess of files, locates the individual mods and matches them with their readmes and screenshots.
