Himura and Kushuri, waited nervously in their hotel room in Hope. Himura paced, chain smoking cigarettes while his wife Kushuri double checked the terminal for the forth time.

"Calm down, The Courier will be here soon..." She said as her hands swiped over the holo-terminal's keyboard and she began entering commands into the computer. Himura fidgeted nervously as he paced. "Why isn't he here! The Government could knock down our door at anytime not to mention Secure-Corp. They want this data as much as we want it given to the people. This Courier is the best in the business but he's late!" Raged the japanese executive as he paced further.

A knock came at the door, Himura leapt across the room and threw the door open, standing at the door wearing a fine suit and tie. The man was young with long dark hair slicked back over his head. A large bulge under his arm gave away the presence of a firearm.

"I'm The Courier." He says as he steps into the room. "Is your equipment prepared?" he asks as he checks the windows and then the bathroom. Himura looks to his wife and she rolls her eyes. "Yes Mr. Courier...You're ready for the data transfer." She says as he hooks up the large headpiece that fit over his head and allowed him to transfer the data in his Head-Safe to a terminal or vice versa.

He drew his firearm and set it on the table next to him as he sat down. "Remember, upon confirmation of the complete transfer of the package One million non-consecutive credits are to be transfered into the specified account or i delete the data and kill you..." He say coldly as he thumbs back the hammer on the pistol. Himura stares at him in terror, the cold calculating demeanor of the Courier frightened him to the bone. His mouth tried to form words but he just nodded his head. The Courier was satisfied with his response and placed the helmet on his head, he lifted the synthetic skin patch on the base of his neck to reveal a data-jack. He plugged the helmet in and his vision blanked out.

Kushuri typed furiously as she confirmed the commands to begin the transfer. After some typing she nods to him. The Courier smiles and places a rubber bit in his mouth. "Hit me.." he says, he takes four heavy breathes and holds it as he closes his eyes. Kushuri hits the enter button and The Courier begins to shake and struggle as the data transfers into his brain, causing him to violently convulse. The data appeared in his eyes as it transfered into his brain, moving to fast to make sense of. After a few seconds the transfer was complete and the rush of the event left The Courier's heart pounding in his chest.. He unplugged himself and looked at his wrist, a small panel was built into his forearm that monitored his lifesigns and his head-safes status. It read "Completed, 100% of data installed."

The Courier stood and picked up his pistol. "Transfer the funds and give me the location and name of the drop off." Himura pulled back his suit sleeve to reveal his arm-link and began typing on the pad. After a few seconds The Couriers own internal link dinged off as to the complete transfer, he thumbed the hammer forward and holstered it under his arm.

"Whos the contact?" He asks as he straightens his suit.

Himura stutters with his words and then finally found his courage. "Mr Barlow at the Carlton, penthouse." He says just as the door bursts in. "Police! Freeze!" Yelled the armored man as he entered, The Courier spun around and drew his pistols, firing both at once the rounds tore into his chest and dropped him before he could step in side. He turned to Kushuri and her eyes were red with tears. "I'm sorry I had to..." The Courier growled with anger and put a bullet through her head and a second through the window behind him, Three more officers entered and began opening fire. The rounds tore the hotel room apart, bullets peppering the walls and destroying the electronics, Himura took a round to the heart and dropped. The Courier bolted for the window and dove through, fifteen stories up. He counted until three and then reached up under his coat to the gravity reverser mounted on his shoulder rig. He began his slow fall and landed on the roof of a police van. He stood and smirked as he corrected his suit and stepped off onto the street and vanished into an alley.

"Five. Five of these assholes put to rest."
Logan thought to himself as he fired his Assault Rifle out of cover. He looked to his right to see the missions first friendly death; Jonas, the team medic. Howlett returned his attention towards the mission at hand, as he saw the target move in the midst of the firefight.

"Target spotted!" He called out. The colonel aimed down his sights and fired off several shots, all of which missed. Thorne, the squads Designated Marksman fired off two rounds, one of which landed right in the target's thigh. As the general fell to the ground however, Thorne took a bullet to the shoulder. He fell to the ground, clutching his wound.

The APC pulled up in front of the gunfire, John opened the hatch "Get in sir!"

Earlier

John had met Crimson, there was an odd feeling, like he didn't belong. Like a poor person in a VIP party. Word was coming through that attacks were going on all over the place. Bloody rebels, the scum of civilisation, mass murderers, thievies, cheats and liars, masquerading as the 'good guys' of the conflict. They sickened him, John turned to the Colonel "Sir, where did the rebels get the men, the skill, the anything to start this. How organised can these rouges be?"

"I don't know, Commander, but you'll find out soon. Lock and Load John" The commander gave him his orders and left John to carry it out

"Yes, Sir" John exited the building "Alright Crimson, meet up outside the square. We've got a job to do."

"What is it?" One of the soldiers asked, coming up on him

"One of our leaders will need a ride"

"Just another day at the office." Another Crimson member said, climbing into an APC "You think the rebels will s*** themselves when they see this coming?"

"Doesn't matter, we're extracting him, we suspect the rebel force to be rather large, if they come done on our heads it's over." John shook his head, The Apc started to role across the waste land

"Nothing like a good old suicide mission."

"Is it true what they say? You know, about the confirmed kills?" John asked

"And this guys incharge of us? No, it isn't, you think that is even possible?"

"You're right..." John said, before looking out of the side hatch of the apc, then closing it. Already his authority had been challenged. John heard gunfire, and the APC pulled up infront of the gunfire. John opened the hatch "Get in sir!" He shouted to the general, but didn't wait for his response before pulling him into the apc. "He's injured! Get a medic now!" John open one of the view ports of the APC and poked his gun out, firing into the rebels

"Their smaller than I expected, must be a special ops team." One of crimson said, before lobbing a grenade out

"Enemy armor!" someone shouted. Logan peeked his head out from his cover to see the APC with an open hatch. He aimed down his sights to fire, but a nearby explosion, possibly from a grenade, sent him flying back into a tree, knocking him out cold. Logan awoke and tried to assess the damage. He noticed some small shrapnel wounds, but that was the worst of it.

"Damnit..." He mumbled to himself, realising that his HK416 was missing. Logan got to his feet and darted over to cover and drew his .44 Magnum. He noticed that there were hardly any Government forces left, either all killed, or gone. The stragglers were being taken captive right now. He didn't see the APC anywhere however.

He exited cover and walked over to where the rest of the Templars were. Just then there was a tap on his shoulder. It was Thorne! He turned to see Throne holding out Logan's HK416. "I think you dropped something sir." Thorne chuckled. Logan nodded and took the weapon as he studied Thorne for damage.

"Looks like we ain't getting followed." John remarked, as the APC approached Hope, the rebels had some firepower, they should keep their vigil from now on, lest another ambush like that happens. At least they had gotten some of the officers out alive, still, he wished they could have done more

"Thanks for the rescue, Crimson" The general coughed "thought I was a goner for sure"

"It's what we do sir" One of crimson said, it was the tallest of the team, John recalled his name as Kyle, Crimson-3 "How'd the rebels do that?"

"They got the drop on us, I didn't realise they were so organised" A colonel replied, the apc pulled into hope, and the officers disembarked, John climbed out and sighed. Looked like this was turning into a proper war, not just unrest anymore.

Lisbeth arrived at the safehouse to discover a horrifying sight, all around the room were the bodies of the soldiers stationed there, blood seeping onto the floor, and mixing with whatever else happened to be there. Her face took on a scowl as she slowly walked around, looking at the bodies. Every wound was precise, as if there was no struggle at all. These men and women were killed by an expert. That made Lisbeth smile ever so slightly, whomever did this had skill similar to hers, but based on the shattered window and bloody executions, was not as acrobatic or stealthy as she was, nor did they value cleanliness in their work. Her heels echoed through the now dead halls until she heard a groan, on the floor before her lay a man she knew as Alec, and his codename was Sparrow.

"Alec!" She cried, running forward and kneeling next to him, blood poured from his temples, and it was certain he didn't have long to live. Her face further contorted in anger as she watched her friend, and former lover fade. "No! Alec i won't let you die... By god you are important to the effort!" She cried, feeling around her back under her corset, until she found a patch of synthetic skin, she pushed her fingers into it and fake blood poured from it, as she fingered around, pulling out a gel-like pad. She stuck it onto the side of Alec's head, and it burnt into his flesh with a hiss, sealing his wound. But the damage was already done.

"Lis... Volpino... Whatever you are called now... I'm sorry... about us, about everything... In another life eh?" he coughed with a slight laugh.

Lisbeth's scowl was far deeper now, as her anger and sadness overwhelmed her, tears started to form in her eyes, but she held them back. "Rest in piece Sparrow... I'll never forget you." She remarked as Alec's vital signs dropped. She scanned him with a device built deep inside her arm, and his vital signs reached 0.

She got up from the floor and her face turned to stone, she walked quietly out of the safehouse and said a prayer for all the lost souls... whoever did this was dangerous, but stupid to think she wouldn't get them back somehow. She ran from the scene, mounting the rooftop of the safehouse, and running far away, there was a larger, and far more hidden location deeper in the slums, they were connected to the main system of the recalcitrancy, so news of Sparrows death would have to be told there.

Once she arrived at the Safehouse Arthur and his team were at, she burst through the door and looked at one of the higher ranking officers, she said solemnly "Sparrow and his team are all dead. Whoever got them was one hell of an assassin, almost as good as me." She remarked as she passed. To the lower ranking, and new members of the rebels, she was something of a Hero, an idol of sorts, but to her she was just a woman doing her job.

Logan called over the squads radioman. He took the radio and called into Safehouse Arthur. "Safehouse Arthur, come in. This is Colonel Logan Howlett, leader of Task Force 'Templars'. The target escaped via APC. We are currently tending to the wounded and captured. Awaiting orders, over."

Meanwhile, Thorne was doing what he could with his wound, and seeing as the squad medic had a bullet in his head he'd need to work this out by himself. He ripped off a piece of his pants and tied it into a knot, in attempt to stop the bleeding.

The convoy stopped within the warehouse, the vehicles stopped, fanning out a little bit and leaving a lot of natural cover. It was quite subtle, something the captain ordered them to quickly do on the radio, and it looked like they had just found somewhere convenient to park. A squad or two of enemy troops stood near the weapons shipment. The most notable was nasty-lookin', not ugly but mean. He stood over six feet tall and seemed to prefer a SPAS-12. At their current range that weapon's spread was wide enough to kill both Samuel and his passenger, and so if a firefight broke out Samuel was taking him out first. One of the troopers got out of the car in the front and went up to talk to an officer who had come out to meet them. They spoke a little bit, and the Government officer nodded. He turned and signalled to his men to prepare the supplies for transportation when the received a signal on their radioes, all at once. Their heads snapped up and glared at the convoy, before they raised their weapons and opened fire.

The trooper who had been speaking to the Government CO was gunned down first, cut down before he could reach the relative safety of cover. Luckily Samuel was in an armoured vehicle, no bullets got through to hit them. However, they could not return fire using the vehicle's weapons, as there was a vehicle in the way. Samuel opened the door and dived out of the car, his FN FAL in hand, and left the door open as extra cover. He aimed for the nasty one he saw a second ago, and opened up with a 5-shot burst fire.

Julian Cross hadn't liked the look of this from the beginning, all of the bullet holes in the videos suggested a hijacking, and the radio message simply confirmed his fears. The man who ha dbeen speaking with Julian's CO took a slug round to the back and was killed instantly. He moved to cover, these Recalcitrancy killed his parents, but he wouldn't be joining them anytime soon. He didn't quite make it in time before the shooting really started. When the APC's driver popped up from behind cover to fire at him, Julian fired right back. Some of the pellets struck Samuel's armor, but not many. Samuel was knocked onto his back with this force of the shot nonetheless. Julian fired again, and Samuel saw one of his comrades get blown apart. He rose back to his feet and returned fire from the safety of cover. A single armor-piercing round hit Julian in the side, and he grunted with pain. The white-clad soldier switched from his shotgun to the M4A1 carbine dangling from a sling on his back. He tossed a frag grenade over to the APC, and it landed a few meters behind Samuel.

The grenade exploded, and Samuel was sent flying into the vehicle next to him. He hit his head very hard on the hard surface of the vehicle. He fell onto his face and lay face-down into the floor.

Emile heard shooting and something hit his APC hard. He exited the APC's and looked around, seeing Samuel lying on the floor next to the APC. Emile dived flat on the ground pulling the pin on a smoke grenade and throwing it, before crouch walking over to Samuel, coughing on the smoke, and pulling him behind the APC. His shotgun was useless at this range, and when he saw Samuels FAL he didn't think twice before taking it, rolling out of cover and letting off a burst at a government soldier. His missed all shots, he growled and fired again, this time hitting the soldier. Emile dived back into the cover, they were outnumbered. Good, more kills. Emile jumped out again and shot more fire, hitting two government troops, someone shot back and Emile narrowly avoided it. That was close, Emile leant out and tried to shoot. Dead mans click. It was over. "s***!" he exclaimed, and got back into cover. He shook Samuel "Come on, you're not dead are you? We're out numbered. More must be on their way, we should get out of here while we can!"

The team's jubilation died as Candice led into her reluctant relay. Arthur pursed his lips concernedly. This had been their first group mission in several months - he didn't like the thought of having to split up again so soon.

"Hmm. So who's solo again?" Arthur asked.

"Eh, all of you, but not on light assignments." Candice answered as she handed a bag full of blue pills to Arthur.

Arthur rolled the pills around inside the bag with his fingers. Each bore one of the team's names on them.

"Can't even tell you about it eh, ma'am?" Arthur asked.

"Nope. And me being the commanding officer of this safehouse, that's pretty secretive. These pills were commissioned four days ago, and got here while you all were out getting those data chips." Candice replied.

Before Arthur could respond, a trooper entered the room.

"There you are, ma'am! You're not going to believe who just came through the door - it's Lisbeth!" He blurted to the commander.

"Lisbeth Ayim?" Arthur and Candice chorused.

"Aye. And she's going on about another of our safehouses getting destroyed and whatnot." The trooper replied.

"Hmm. Well then, let's go say hello." Candice said with a glance back to Arthur and his team.

"Right behind you." Arthur said, pocketing the pills for later.
