Cannot reach the nexus login server

I get this same error "Cannot reach the Nexus login server.". So is this a current issue that is surfacing or has a fix been implemented?

I am having the same issue and I think it started with version .4413

At the same time Steam stopped working so I couldn't access Skyrim (if that makes any sense)

I gave up on Steam and downloaded a nosteam version of Skyrim (I do own a legitimate copy).

But when I upgraded to 4413, now I can't login... so no Nexus Mod Manager.

Run the program as administrator; that made it connect for me.

I have run NMM (and Steam which doesn't want to update either) as an administrator but that doesn't make any difference.

 

I could play Skyrim on the PC w/o the NMM but, I don't know, some habits die hard.

the only thing that fixed this was reinstalling windows 7

I also had this problem. I found that there was no rule for the application in the firewall(whether to allow internet access to the application or not). I created a new rule and the problem was solved. (I have AVG Internet Security installed.)

so this problem has just started happening, ive had NMM installed for some time now, a ton of mods, and never any issues, (with NMM). Now I cant connect to the server through NMM..... my firewalls rules are fine, internet connects fine.... ive cleaned up my registry, ive tried the notepad trick ive updated, reinstalled, and swore at it. nothing seems to help... also im not doing a full reinstall of windows....7
