Modding noob here

I can't seem to find any instructions on how to install the mods once downloaded.

 

If anyone could post a link to where I can find them, it would be much appreciated.

Is the mod an .esp file?

 

If it is, just place it inside your Fallout 3 / Data folder.

 

When you start up the game click on Data Files in the Launcher and then tick the relevant .esp file.

 

Play the game as normal.

 

Can you post a link to the mod you are talking about? I'd be able to help out more with that information.

Does it matter if it remains unticked? I go into data files, tick off my mods and press OK. When I click data files again, all the .esp are unticked.

As long as you ticked it and then go to play the game it will be fine (there are a lot of threads about this in this forum). I prefer to run my game using FOMM (Fallout Mod Manager) as it's easier to see what mods you are using. I'm sorry I don't have a link but do a search and you'll find it.
