Bethesda's sea dogs / pirates of the caribbean remade

Hello all!

 

Well before i get started i just want everyone to know that I can't play/mod oblivion yet, but am getting a computer soon. I have played it on the 360. I don't know the limits of the construction set, but i hope this mod would be possible. If this mod is possible it woudl be very complex. ok now down to business lol

 

Bethesda's pirates of the Caribbean was a game released in 2003 its one of my favorite games, but has alot of bugs in it and looks really out dated now. I was hopping that some people could help me recreate this amazing game, but set in TES oblivion universe.

 

I was thinking at the end of topal bay there could be a portal to the open ocean and a plethora of islands and cities along with active trading routes pirates and smugglers. It would also be nice if the entire niben river could be sailed and would have ship traffic. I know that the majority of this mode can be done I think the hardest part will be the ships, ship routes, and ship combat.

 

List of things I think that mod would need to be epic:

 

A large open ocean at lease the size of the oblivion map if not larger

 

10-12 islands that have a main city and dungeons to explore , smugglers beach and at lease one other alternative spot to anchor

Every city would have to include a shipwright where ships and be bought, upgraded, repaired, and sold

 

The ocean woudl have to have trading route with ships that travel predicatively form island to island trading, there would also be pirates that woudl stalk these ships and battle with them, smugglers would also be another thing that would travel form island to island trading in contraband. Treasure fleets and military ships would also be a nice touch

 

All of these ships would be able to be attacked or attack the player

 

I woudl like ship to ship combat to include everything that the game pirates of the Caribbean included if not more (most complex part i think)

 

I woudl like to see at lease 10 different ship types if not more

 

I think that is enough for now. I would like this mod to be even more complex, but this is the general idea i had. I would like to get a team together to work on this if possible. I will be getting a better computer and starting work on this mod in a month or two. I know this a huge task and will take some time, but i think this could a an amazing thing to add to oblivion.
