billypnats Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Help! for random reasons I'm getting random artifacts when playing Fallout 3, I tried playing oblivion and far cry 2 and i don't get anything. I checked temperature on my graphic card, ATI 4850, and its nominal (80-90), its pretty new too (3 month), which is good cus I still got warranty on it. My artifacts include flashing screen, and random colours around the perimeter of my screen like this I updated to catalyst 8.11 and nothing changes. please help
bben46 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 80 - 90 degrees c is not nominal. It is hot. For test purposes, lower your screen resolution and try it. also, watch your temps at the lower resolution.

I just restarted the game like 5 times and now its gone =O btw, 80-90 degree is nominal for 4850 according to this articlehttp://www.rage3d.com/interviews/atichats/undertheihs/ BTW, in this site I keep on getting IPS errors... EDIT: NVM, it worked once, but when i restarted the game again, it came back on, I tried changing resolution but it didn't work
