lankeyduder
I have a bunch of mods and plugins, some downloaded from nexus mod, some downloaded from steam workshop. I want to get rid of all my mods and start skyrim fresh from scratch so I can grab a few I like and start a new game. Even with deleting the game and folders I re-downloading and installed skyrim through steam. Everything is still there. Clearly I'm missing a step in the process. How do I wipe all my old skyrim mods, plugins, saved games etc from the computer and start over clean? Thanks.
KingsGambit
Uninstall the game from steam.Navigate to the Skyrim directory and delete the /Data folder. This removes all mods and DLCs. You could delete the entire Skyrim folder here, though I wouldn't unless your game was previously having errors or crashes.Navigate to your Documents folder/Skyrim and delete what you wish from there; I would suggest leaving this folder alone however. The saves are harmless and you may change your mind later. The prefs files simply contain your options and keybinds so deleting them is counter-productive if anything.Reinstall game from Steam. Reinstall SKSE.(Optional) Go to Nexus and download my mods because they are cool and will make you happy.
