Extensible Follower Framework stopped working

I have been using EFF now for three years without any problems. A couple of days ago it stopped functioning in that the dialog wheel comes up, but none of the selections on the wheel work at all. When I select something, the wheel disappears and the NPC just stands there and stares at me. The last mod I installed was Vigilant two weeks ago, but I don't think that's the problem cuz EFF worked normally throughout the whole mod. I have re-intstalled EFF, RDO, and SkyUI but that seems to not make a difference. To save you some time, and to minimize questions I know are coming, let me say that I have gone through the whole gambit of verifying game file integrity, sorting with LOOT, and even cleaning some files with TES5Edit 4.0, I also disabled some mods (I think this was unnecessary. EFF functioned fine until two days ago). Anyone have any ideas?

UPDATE: Problem resolved...sort of. I had recently deactivated 3 sex mods because I didn't think they were necessary, but apparently I was wrong. I re-activated them and EFF is working, but not like it used to. When you select a command from the wheel, it takes over a minute to execute. That's too long of a wait time for me. I'll figure it out sooner or later. :pinch:
