Since the newest update for Skyrim came (I also downloaded a generous amount of mods around the same time) out my game has been crashing very frequently. I ended up downloading TES5Edit and cleaning all my dirty files, as well as using BOSS then manually redoing my load order. Now it is a very stable game, but it still crashes every time I go to the level up/skills menu. It happens to all my saves. It also crashes when trying to leave the soul cairn in dawnguard after getting the elder scroll; and whenever I talk to jarl bulgruffs mage for the dragonstone and when I try to leave Jorrvaskr. I've inlcuded a copy of my load order; so any help would be greatly apprectiated. I'm playing on a lenovo B570 notebook with intel pentium on windows 7 and 4gb of ram, I'm also playing with Hialgo boost. All my drivers should be up to date.

this is a pretty common mistake.

no offense, but theres a pretty good chance you installed too many mods at once. it's a lot safer, and easier to troubleshoot, if you install mods slowly, waiting till you've tested the first few before you install more.

disable some of them and see what happens.

as for the current ctd, disable all your mods, reload the game and see if you can play w/o any ctds. after that, enable one mod at a time until you find the problem.

it might also help to look specifically at any mods that modify the areas you're experiencing issues with, although they all seem pretty different.

I have tried this but to no avail. The game continues to crash when in the skills menu, and at the final quest marker for "Beyond Death" even with all mods turned off excluding Official DLC and the update.esm

alright, try verifying your files in cache. before you do, be warned this may make you redownload the game files, but if a file has become corrupt somehow it may be your only option.

Go into steam and under library, right click on skyrim, go to properties and select local files, the 3rd tab. you'll see verify as an option on that screen.

np, glad it helped. post back if things get screwed up again, but remember patience is definitely a virtue when it comes to mods. make sure one group works before installing the next. (l tend to break the one mod at a time rule and install 3-4, but l try and keep them to simple mods when l do that, texture packs etc. OR 4 mods that do different things so that if a problem occurrs l can usually spot what mods causing it asap.)
