SSE crashing at two specific locations in Solitude

Greetings All !

 

So, I'd played for maybe 70-80 hours on this particular toon. Ran around Solitude a couple of times.

 

But all of a sudden, this week, I've found two specific locations in Solitude where I crash / CTD instantly upon hitting them. One is at the base of the ramp that leads up to Castle Dour. You know, the one that leads up to both the Fletcher's shop on the left and the Blacksmith on the right. The second I hit that ramp. Boom. The other location is on the other side of Castle Dour. You know that large sloping downhill that comes out of the Castle and heads to the Blue Palace? Well, right at that first street intersection there, when you're about half-way down the hill. I hit that and I crash. (This is annoyingly preventing me from getting to that fletcher merchant.)

 

Anyways, I've run LOOT to fix my sort order. (Actually had done that long before getting this issue.)

And now I've used SSEEdit (Auto-cleaning the primary modules and performing the manual step to clean "wild edits" in Dawnguard.... as per:

I've also used a tool called ReSaver to clean my save game file.

But I still have the problem.

Any thoughts on what I can / should do next? I was looking at the Wiki on how to use SSEEdit's Manual mode to detect and resolve conflicts, and it seemed very, very complex. So, I thought I'd hold off on attempting that until I'd asked for help.

OK, I've narrowed it down to the "Lanterns of Skyrim II" Mod. Issue doesn't happen at both points if I uninstall that. (I discovered this by deactivating the last few mods I'd installed and then testing. Then narrowing it down from there.)

 

As I recall, when I installed that, I also installed some other files that are offered on that mod's download page. Perhaps I didn't understand what to do with them properly. But I'll work on reinstalling here in a little bit.

Did you ever find a fix? I think it was "Lanterns of Skyrim II", as when I disabled it I stopped having the problem.

I suspect there's more going on than Lanterns of Skyrim II. I have Lanterns of Skyrim II installed and I've never had a CTD at the ramp or on the road between the castle and the blue palace (as recently as last weekend) . *maybe there's a contention between it and one of the other mods in the OP's list, but otherwise I think that it's a red herring..

Getting a CTD when entering Solitude. I can walk up to the door but entering it causes a crash. There also might a another place that causes a crash. haven't tested all the cities yet.

 

Another thing is I have Race menu.esp, Enhanced Character Edit.esp, and Character Making Extender.esp Installed. Do i need to get rid of any of these? I have them installed to other mods work.
