WonderB
yes fallout 3 is different from oblivion.for texture change mods you must 1: make the nessecary changes to your fallout.ini file. instructions are more detailed in many places but here is one pasted. In your documents\my games\fallout 3 folder (may be slightly different depending on O.S. but the important thing to note is that it is NOT the fallout game directory) is a file called "fallout3.ini". Open this file in notepad and go down near the bottom to the section called "Archive". Look for a parameter called "bInvalidateOlderFiles=0" and change the 0 to a 1 and save the file. 2: put the file "ArchiveInvalidation" file into your program files/bethesda softworks/fallout3 diredtory IE not in the DATA directory. this file ussually comes with the mod you DL. you have add to this file for each mod you want to load so the file gets bigger with each mod. the readme or description of most mods you DL has the specific instructions.NOTE: this is just from an oblivion mod user who is very new to fallout mods and just as far as i'v figured out so far.
