Tevanos
Hey TES experts, I just got the Bloodrayne armor for HGEC and am having issues with it simply not existing in the game. Lets cover the easy stuff first. Yes it's plugged in and the power is on. The HGEC mod is here: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19695There is also a UFF version here, with a fix that I'll address in a minute: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=17285 To be clear: I have the HGEC and the Fix from the UFF mods. I did not use the UFF mod itself.I know I have the files unzipped and in the correct folders.I have the ESP enabled in my OBMM.I have read all forum posts in both mods, and the associated readme's. Apparently, in the mod the armor is inserted into the game via a vampire's corpse on top of Capstone Cave, west of Bruma. I have searched within and outside the cave, especially in the exact spot idicated by the screenshot per the UFF mod. The corpse and armor are not present. In the HGEC version, there is a post which references the UFF mod site for a "fix" which is why that mod comes up. This fix is supposed to spawn the vampire above the cave, and she immediately falls to her death, providing the corpse and the armor. However, even with the fix, this isn't happening. I am not alone in this, though there are some that have apparently no issues with the mod. In the UFF forum, one user (Drasynd) stated: "A very nice mod and very detailed. But there's one problem, if you have visited the cell before this, it's likely that the vampire wearing it can't be found." To my questions: 1. Given the way this armor is introduced (via this vampire and not, say, in a chest or on a vendor) is it possible what Drasynd says? I did, in fact, already travel by and discover Capstone Cave, so does this somehow create issues with this mod? Does that vampire only appear to those that have not been there yet? 2. If so, is there an easy fix to this? If not, is there anything that I can do to remedy it? 3. Would the fix from the UFF mod page conflict with the HGEC mod? The forum in the HGEC mod did reference with a link the UFF mod for the fix as a solution, but that seemed odd to me. But if its simply referencing to the same files, then it should still work.... right? 4. I do not actually use the HGEC body, I use Exnem's with enderwear. I have some HGEC outfits though that still work with Exnems's, so I thought I'd give this a shot too. So far I've had good luck with HGEC stuff working with Exnem's body, with minimal clipping. I don' t think this could be a related issue though, because then I would have clipping issues at worst, not a completely missing outfit. I've posed a question here to the forums before, and have always had good responses, so I'll thank everyone in advance. I think this mod is a little unique in how it introduces the outfit to the player, which, if Drasynd is right, could be problematic. For those still awake after this long post, thanks. I can submit more information as needed. I thought I'd provide as much info as possible, and all the factors I could think of before I submitted something to the effect of: "OMG teh mod suxx. it doesnt wurk and i no i did it all rit. HELP ME PLZ!!!one!1!!11" Later! T
Tevanos
It looks like what Drasynd says may be true. I started a new game with a new character, went straight to Capstone Cave, and there she was, Bloodrayne outfit and all. The mod works fine, but the issue still remains whether or not it works if you have a character that has already discovered the cave area. So the question remains... how can someone get this outfit if they have already been to Capstone Cave? Will the cell reset over time and when it does, will the vampire corpse appear? Well the easy answer is to just use the "player.additem" command to get a duplicate of any item from the mod. You only need it's base ID from the CS and the hexadecimal mod number -- given by both Wrye Bash and OBMM.. The base IDs for those items could be added to the read me, so people would only have to convert the hexadecimal number from their load order.
